His Internship was completed at the Hospital of PCOM. His medical residency was completed at John F Kennedy Hospital, Straford, New Jersey. Cardiology training was completed in 1985 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey.
Dr Skotnicki is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Adult Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac Computed Tomography. He is a founding member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He has been awarded Fellowship in the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology as well as the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.
Although he is a former interventional cardiologist, he now specializes in non-invasive cardiac imaging. Dr. skotnicki started the first outpatient nuclear stress lab in the region in 1992 and it estimated that in 2012, PinnacleHealth will perform 30,000 adult echoes and 8,000 nuclear stress tests. He is now leading the way in nuclear cardiac imaging, supervising the first cardiac PET stress test in the Susquehanna Valley.
